Mint nail polish. Well note quite mint, but rather Jade that is. It’s Chanel’s latet must have, “it” for nails. We teased you back in the summer that the new “it” nail polish colour would be this one.

Who What Wear tells us where the pale green nail trend began: The fingernail fad began where most polish trends start—on the Chanel runway—and this latest craze is no different. Peter Philips, the Global Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, originally created the fingertip tint as a one-off for the fashion house’s F/W 09 show.

But it’s now up for retail because so many beauty trendsters, fashionistas and general Chanel fans all starting asking for the pale opaque Le Vernis Nail Color in Jade.

Polish your pout, freshen your breath with Crest peppermint oil, and brighten your smile. Those are the accolades of new CoverGirl Wetslicks Amazement.

But what’s had me addicted is that while it’s refreshing and tingly (and I’m all about that), at the same time it’s really, really moisturizing and not sticky. And as the days get colder, darker and dryer that’s  huge!

I’m a gloss junky and always have a few handfuls of glosses in my purse. So it’s major that I keep on looking for the blue tops of CoverGirl Amazemint. There are 13 fresh mint-infused colors to pick from – my favs are the No Care Bare (subtle nude) and Everything’s Rosy (nice pink).

 

The design house that The Bay built is full of rare to find labels: Maison b.

At select HBC Bay stores they’ve created a new women’s fashion department that is to drool over. That is if you’re looking to spend $300 on a cashmere suit jacket with a satin bow woven thru each elbow. It’s adorable and tailored.

Maison b has both high-end and mid-range labels, so don’t be scared off by the cashmere  I’m coveting, it’s still worthwhile checking out fun lines like Paul & Joe Sister, Ca Va De Soi, Mint, and for sure check out Baia Blue. Baia is the Bay’s house label created by Crystal Seimens.

Every month new labels will be introduced in Canada at The Bay Bloor & Queen Street (Toronto); Downtown Vancouver; and Downtown Montreal.
