It doesn’t look like the black trend in makeup and nail polish is going anywhere and that’s not a bad thing!

MAC Cosmetics has a new line called Style Black and what’s great about it (besides the name) is it offers that dark look that is so pop, but in other intense shades that are almost as dark for those who don’t feel like their complexion can pull of the harsh black.

M.A.C. Style Black has some great mineral eye shadows, nail lacquers, lipsticks and glosses in super deep violet, green, navy and bronze.  They’re so great chances are you’ll want to try them before you reach for the staple Style ‘Black’!

The line also has a Volcanic Ash thermal masque and exfoliator (getting great reviews for it’s deep cleaning).

Deepen the drama and give this line a try – it’s worth it.

This fall is full of exciting and crazy new trends from padded shoulders to yes, bleached eye brows.  Make-up trends are my favourite because there are so many lil tweeks to your make- up that can be done.

A new kitty will be purring on Feb 10 with Mac Cosmetics. Hello Kitty has gone bad girl and we love it! The first Hello Kitty I wouldn’t be embarrassed of if it fell out of my purse.

Only MAC could pull off a feat like that! There’s Hello Kitty Kouture, slick black makeup bags, and the main Hello Kitty Colour Collection has six shades of lipsticks and glosses, a lash set, shadows and more.

“To me, MAC Hello Kitty embodies the ultimate beauty icon,” Jennifer Balbier, senior vice president of product development for MAC Worldwide, told WWD. “She’s sweet and sexy, slightly edgy, and appeals to a wide range of customers.”

The most anticipated M.A.C. Cosmetics’ collections since they did Barbie…the limited-edition Hello Kitty collection will launch at MAC’s website on February 10th, 2009, and will be available at North American stores on February 12. Meow!

This autumn bold and bright colour is a big beauty trend….

Fergie is an “it girl” because she is such a radical free spirit. The singer catapulted her solo success beyond Black Eyed Peas, is engaged to hottie Josh Duhamel, and is dabbling in some acting. Thumbs up are given to her because she’s using that success to promote M.A.C. Cosmetics virtuous cause.

She’s been pretty candid about her dodgy sexual and narcotic past, and so it only makes sense this is her way of moving forward from that in a positive way.

I’m addicted to all mineral makeup. Liquid foundation is a thing of the past in my bathroom, and now the creme de la creme finish before I leave the house is a final dusting from M.A.C. Mineralize Skinfinish.

Mineralize Skinfinish is one of the treats I picked up at BC Fashion Week. It’s a lux velvet-soft powder with high-frost metallic finish that adds buffed-up highlights to cheeks and brows, or an overall ultra-deluxe polish to the face. Highly reflective it gives fantastic depth.

Important! Don’t get turned off by how shimmery it looks – try it first. Friends are always super, super surprised when I show them the metallic product, but then they see it on me and there’s no glitter.

It’s best to go slightly darker than your skin tone – so the one that’s giving me a bit of color despite summer being long gone is M.A.C.’s Global Glow. It’s sold out online, but a bunch of my gals have still been able to get their brushes on these compacts.

I’ve been waiting!! To share more than just rumor that MAC Cosmetics was launching a Barbie Collection so that it didn’t disappoint (like it did with launching only one Playboy lipstick – I think it was called Bunny).

Tada! Here it is today…and it looks fun, very pink, but very fun. Face, eyes, lips, nails, and the M.A.C. Barbie Collection wouldn’t be complete without a special edition MAC Barbie doll. Now you too can look like an adult Barbie.

All this pink makeup will actually look great with this spring’s predicted hot color – yellow.

M·A·C Cosmetic’s last few Viva Glam lipsticks weren’t as unique as previous versions. This year’s Viva Glam is a definite "it"!

 There’s also a VIVA GLAM VI Lipglass, that can be paired or worn separate from it’s namesake lipstick. The beauty of the Viva Glam line is it’s universal appeal (almost anyone can wear these shades), but also that all of it’s profits go to fight HIV/ AIDS.
