I cannot begin to express my excitement over the O.P.I.  Matte Collection! Seriously the most statement nail tips that you will rock this season.

I heard about the matte trend last season – buzz that matte grey will be the new black for fall & frankly I wasn’t sold.  Nails are supposed to be shiny and pretty right?  WRONG. There is something about having matte nails that is so couture, but I had to see it first hand (no pun) to understand.  The color pops more when it’s matte – it’s even brighter!?!  Weird I know, but I promise you it’s true.

O.P.I. used their most demanded shades for this matte collection which just hit stores.  They re-released: Russian Navy, Lincoln Park After Dark, You Don’t Know Jacques!, Alpine Snow, La Paz-Itively Hot and Gargantuan Green Grape.  I want them all!

Tip: Do not last as long on the nail as the regular O.P.I. finishes = re-do more often but they’re well worth it. Stay far away from any base or top coats and lotions on your nails when applying as it alters the matte effect.

Fancy wallpapering your home with pictures of yourself? Or your dog/cat/budgie/Great Auntie Martha? Wallpeppr is the work of designer Carlo Jorges, who has invented a special "roller" that coats your walls with images taken from your Flickr account. It uses inkjet technology, with the roller connecting to your PC via a network cable. Does it actually work, though? Well, who knows – there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of information available about it yet, so you might want to wait a few days before you start planning to redecorate the house.

With all the talk over the last nine months or so about Vera Wang’s upcoming collection for Kohl’s, I’ve pretty much shrugged off the topic. I’m so ambivalent about top-end designers creating mass-produced lines, that I decided not to get involved this time.

After all, look at Target: Isaac Mizrahi has become a genuine bore, and Proenza Shouler had potential, but the cuts are all wrong.
