Neck Warm “it” ~ theitlists.com

You know when you get something new and you become hyper-aware and start to see it everything. Suddenly everyone’s driving an Audi, or carrying a Juicy Couture Bag.

That’s me with cashmere lately. Yesterday I shared the innovative styles of Eric Bompard, and now I’ll add TDM Design’s YumYum.  And to beat the scoop, they’ll be featured in February’s Harpers Bazaar.

Skinny scarves are on the out, but I still miss having something around my neck inside the office. Answer: the new trend in scarves are cashmere YumYum neck warmers. Insanely soft and worn as an accessory to your sweater or outerwear. My favorite is the weave that almost looks basket woven, and the textured fringe.

And to fulfill your new years resolution to do something good for the world - each purchase gives back to the Nepal community where it’s made. Both by donating to and employing women in Nepal.

eric-bompard.pngI used to think that I couldn’t wear wool - but that illusion was founded on the red scratchy wool sweater my mom used to force on me. Turns out my body really enjoys ‘good’ wool: cashmere especially. Goat I, Got it.

Any budget can afford a bit of cashmere, starting with cashmere gloves, hats or scarves. For those and much, much more.

Luxe cashmere brand Eric Bompard, is “So cashmere, So French.” What makes this line stand out is that cashmere doesn’t always make it into current sweater trends - don’t get me wrong, Bompard nails the classics too. Each winter, he creates more than 80 new styles in 40 different colours.

Eric Bompard elegant blends of classic and innovative styles mark this 20 year old cashmere leader as one to stand it’s mark.

P.S. Their cashmere hat is one of the few that doesn’t look absolutely ridiculous on my noggin. Kudos to that alone.

Stocking “it” List - Cashmere Hot-Water Bottle

cashmere-hotwater-bottle.jpegI don’t know why I’m so ‘all about’ this gift idea. When was the last time I used a hot-water bottle? But maybe if one was this glam’ I would. That’s the best rationale I can come up with for my craving. Oh, and maybe it’s the cashmere.

Restoration Hardware has a sophisticated take on the utilitarian water bottle Cashmere Hot-Water Bottle $49 in chocolate, heather grey, garnet, eucalyptus or camel. Okay, for liking this I’m now being mocked in my own house. But come on! - did you see the cute pocket and the turtle neck.

If you’re feeling DIY crafty - then make your own out of felt cover.
