Ready to hit the beach? If monokinis and bandage wrap swimsuits aren’t for you – - here are some great swimwear finds for this summer:

I’m an avid Banana Republic shopper, but their sister store Tommy Bahamas not so much – except when it comes to swimwear. I have two from here.

Love this Hot Dot Tie Front & High Waist Sash Pant (these bottoms rock for hidding a bit of a belly). Another pick are their Sunkissed Solids with Torquise rings matched with Hipster bottoms. I recommend this melon berry color. Hot!

Next up – this Milly Key Largo. This richly ruched bandeau bikini top in an ethnic-inspired print is beach ready.

And one final share – I always hit jackpot with Sea Folly. Check out the Mondrian and Lava Lounge – my pics are both in the Gerbera color combo.

You can hear a collective sigh of relief from all those women that hate putting on a bikini. This summer’s swimwear trend is all about the monokini.

Ironically, many of these one-piece bathing suits don’t give you much more coverage or support than a bikini. Black dominates the racks this season, but interesting cut-outs and designs create the visual interest so often lost where color lacks.

The biggest downfall to a monokini is the risk of odd or unflattering tan lines.

It’s time to start suiting up! My favorite thing to buy online is bathing suits – so this is the time of year I start ordering so that with a dash of shipping time I’ve got them in time for the sun.

Why do I like swimwear shopping online? Besides the fact that I get to then try at home rather than bare my pastey-white self (for now) in public.

Bathing suits are more forgiving between sizes and so less chance of error than with other clothing, and so much more selection.

The girls who wear Ed Hardy bikinis are usually far from coy.  And since we all know Ed Hardy has never been shy – so it’s interesting that this season he is flaunting the koi fish on his sexy new swimwear line.

As seen already on Tori Spelling, Alicia Keyes, Madonna and more the suits are sizzling hot, that is if you are willing to wear a fishy down there.   Beyond the koi bikinis, Ed is also featuring some rockin’ monokini’s that aren’t shy.

Sexy tattoo art swimwear is definitely "it" this summer.

Petra Nemcova was theitlists.com’s  it girl last August and is getting ramped up to shine again this summer. 

Rampage has just announced that this summer Petra will be modeling their sexy swimwear along with their entire spring and summer 2008 collection. You can expect this as Rampage’s mark of turning up the notch on their styles, and some hot ads if her topless jeans shots are a sign.

The new collection is just as hot as Petra – and the swim suits are cute one pieces swimsuits and bikinis in bold patterns.
