Lauren Conrad is doing her thing this Spring 2008. Showcasing her signature designs in her second season of her self-titled fashion line. Will this reality TV star soon be snapshot eating lunch with Donatella Versace?
Lauren Conrad Collection reflects Lauren’s upbringing in Southern California - that laid back lifestyle she is accustom to in The Hills. Her line does have some star qualities about it (in its simplicity), but it’s definitely not a collection that will be hunted down by paparazzi on the street.
Hmmm…this leaves The It Lists to wonder if Lauren Conrad Collection is violating us with this star’s 10 seconds of fame?
Thank goodness the buzz on the recent Fall 2008 shows is that Lauren has stepped up her game. Looks like her time in Paris this summer has paid off.

In the words of Thumper and my Mom, “If you haven’t got anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.” But I can’t help myself!
Fashionista Diaries follows the lives of 6 young glam interns. Two of them go to work for *** House PR’s Mandy Erickson. The way she treated her interns is shocking! The nasty lady was prepared to offer both interns jobs, but both girls didn’t want to work with her. Good decision ladies.
Mandy Erickson is a monster bitch and worthy of being put out there as an example of how not to be - - ever. An it girl isn’t just about being talked about - it’s about having the spark of somethin’ somethin’ that sets you apart from the crowd in a positive way.
My distaste of her was further fueled when I read Jezebel’s take on this nasty piece of work. I’m perplexed on why she’d go on a show and spotlight her crappy ways. There really is a time when ‘no press is bad press’ just doesn’t apply.
Satin is one of the hip fabrics this season - anything with shine, right?!
But I think it’s too much in this resurrected trend of an urban turban - let alone satin turban. Channeling old Hollywood ala Gabor and Dietrich just isn’t happening for me.
I’ve been spotting the turban for a bit now, and I’m really surprised the trend’s got some life to it. I don’t know what to make of this, except to say "not for me." Maybe it’s like a pixy cut, you have to be drop dead gorgeous to pull off?
Check out Ashley Olsen in her turban head band, which is a bit more doable (is that a word).

There have been quite a few toe trends that I’ve been confused at.
First there were the little bootie Uggs that you had to be 16 to look attractive in. Next came Crocs Sandals - I’ve always left perplexed at how otherwise intelligent people strap cushioned Tupperware to their feet to make themselves look like Lego people. It’s so wrong!
So now comes Marc Jacobs with platform sandals and socks. No! Doesn’t he understand this bumps Birkenstocks with socks into the grey area where they were so clearly a red zone. If you’re having flashbacks of ZZ Top girls with lacy socks with their pumps…no this is a whole other picture. Marc Jacobs is trying to fashionize clumpy athletic socks with chunky platform sandals.
Does Marc Jacobs rock your socks?
