Wisegal Style ~theitlists.com

» Filed under news on March 13, 2008

wisegal_BANNER300x250.jpgHere’s a twist to mobster tradition - gangster from a female perspective. Wisegal, a Lifetime original telemovie premiers Saturday night at 9. And it stars Alyssa Milano.

She has her own clothing and jewelry company, Touch by Alyssa Milano, and she’s currently featured in a recurring role on NBC’s "My Name Is Earl."

Now in the fact-based mob drama, Milano plays a widow trying to support her two sons by selling stolen cigarettes. She then falls for a Brooklyn mob captain (Jason Gedrick), but the family boss (James Caan ex-Las Vegas) persuades her to work for the family.

Side Story: I’ve once had a funny opportunity to run shoulders with Ms Milano - we shared a copy of the National Enquirer which she narrated gossip story by story with: true, not true, true. Very funny.

Wedgie Dance ~ theitlists.com

» Filed under news on March 11, 2008

sarah_chalke_hanes1Scrubs’ stars Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke are tackling wedgies in the latest Hanes underwear commercials to battle yet another fashion crime.

In the Hanes No Ride-Up Panties commercials, Sarah Chalke show her way to beat the wedgie blues. Zach Braff? Thankfully, he’ll only be behind the camera — directing Sarah Chalke.

Check out www.hanes.com/wedgiefree, where, in addition to the TV spots, you can preview behind-the-scenes outtakes, and Chalke’s own "Wedgie Dance" Video.  This just might rival Seinfeld’s "Elaine Dance".

On the site you can sign-up for weekly "Wedgie-Free Wednesdays" product giveaways (free stuff), share your own wedgie story, rate other stories using the "Blush-O-Meter," and send quirky e-cards to spread the word about wedgie freedom.

In a few months you’ll be able to personalize the Wedgie Dance Video by uploading headshots of friends, your boss, or anyone you want to give a wedgie too!

Mad Genius & Some Tech Problems

» Filed under news on January 22, 2008
computer-fashionOur site crashed last nite…boy, it’s scary to see "fatal error" all over the place. I had nightmares of 404 and fatal errors. Sigh. I lost a few days of posts, but they’ll be up again later today. And if you’re a loyal sponsor reading this, you’re supportive ads will be back soon. We’re working on fixing and finding out what the heck happened.

Thanks for your patience! Shelley

In the spirit of websites gone mad you MUST, have to CHECK OUT THIS SITE: http://producten.hema.nl/

You can’t buy anything and it’s all in Dutch, but it’s mad genius web mastering so worth a peak. It takes a second to load (patience). If Net-a-Porter made shopping this fun I’d never leave and be very broke.

HEMA is a Dutch department store that first opened 1926, in Amsterdam. Now there are 150 stores all over the Netherlands; plus Belgium, Luxemburg, & Germany. This company has a sense of humor and a great computer programmer.

Model Behaviour ~ theitlists.com

Make Supermodel.pngAmerica’s Next Top.. Nope!  Looks like Tyra Banks has some competition. Bravo’s thrown their hat in the model making biz.

Bravo is on the hunt for the next great supermodels with hosts Niki Taylor and Tyson Beckford. It begins by unveiling the top 24 beautiful and talented men and women who will compete for a spot on the new reality competition series "Make Me A Supermodel".

My all time fav models would be Stephanie Seymour, Linda Evangelista, Daria Werbowy, Petra Nemkova, and Nikki Taylor. Pair her up with a hottie like Tyson and I’m in.

Computer problems stopped me from sharing that the premier show aired yesterday withTyson bareing his abs…just one of the reasons he’s current spokesmodel for Ralph Lauren.  Next episode: The models learn the fine art of fashion attitude. In addition, they do the time warp by participating in an after-dark shoot at a notable 1970s hot spot.

Color “it” Cool ~ theitlists.com

tangerine-Torquoise.jpgInStyle magazine has picked the best new colors under the sun. And who did they use to select this trend? Style maven Diane Von Furstenberg. Furstenberg touts, "The coolest colors for this summer are white, turquoise and tangerine - in any combination."

Hey if you want to feel like you’re at a resort, might as well dress like one.

4 Dreams of Miss X is “it” noir

» Filed under news on September 28, 2006

Kate Moss Miss XKate Moss has been signed on by lingerie giant Agent Provocateur to star in their latest advertising campaign 4 Dreams of Miss X. It’s film noir, it’s gorgeous, it’s deliciously naughty, it’s Kate Moss.

The series is being directed by Hollywood filmmaker, Mike Figgis, whose previous work includes the hit film "Leaving Las Vegas," which starred Nicolas Cage and Elisabeth Shue.

Popstar Kylie Minogue previously caused an uproar after starring in an Agent Provocateur ad in which she writhed around on a mechanical bull dressed in a lacy bra, stockings and suspenders. Martini-talk says this series will out do!

The first dream, Shadows, a short 4-minute film, features Kate in bed, barely dressed in all-black and raspy voice. Kate is even more daring in the third film of the Agent Provocateur "Miss X" series, in which she strips off naked.

Naked “it”

» Filed under news on August 30, 2006

Nake NaomiAlthough Rocelyn Sanchez’s recent I’d Rather Go Naked poster is grand - this time it’s not PETA getting women naked, it’s Marc Jacobs.

He’s gathered Carolyn Murphy, Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Julianne Moore, Dita Von Teese and Selma Blair. The gorgeous sixsome have agreed bare down and pose for photographer Brian Bowen Smith.

The shots will run on T-shirts to raise awareness of skin cancer risk, they’ll be auctioned at Jacobs’ Sept aftershow party.

"Every single person I asked said yes, except for Hilary Swank," said Marc Jacobs’ CEO Robert Duffy. "But I am still working on trying to convince her. I refuse to give up." [via Vogue (U.K.)]

My eclectic group of fashionista gal pals are constantly dolling out their favorite tips and trends. I wanted a forum where these gems could be shared – and new ones could be gained.

This is the exciting launch of a portal community to do just that. Fashion and beauty shouldn’t be intimidating or pretentious - they should be fun topics that unite women. Let us embrace the inner princess in all of us!

I welcome you to theitlists.com and invite you to blog about the “must haves,” the “it lists” in your life. Or better yet - sign up to receive our monthly newsletter.
