The perfect way to wrap Canada Day (Week) was spending Sunday with the ponies and pretty people at Woodbine Racetrack’s 156th Queen’s Plate. My partners in glam were Casie Stewart, Marcella Baric, and (far right) Carla Catherwood.
Rethink Breast Cancer hosted us at their #RethinkattheRaces tent, where their “Black Beauty & White Rose” garden party was the hot spot for the hippest of Toronto’s horsy set.
We walked the pink carpet with ladies in fascinators and dapper dudes in bow ties to an oasis of – betting, bubbles, the Ten Spot Beauty Bar, Flare Magazine, and Yellow Tail’s sangria (which required much watching out for the white); and I got the silent auction going (sorry, J-bird, I didn’t manage to score the One Direction tix).
The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario was the guest of honour as the grandstand crowds watched Shaman Ghost capture the $1-million race.
I’ll be back for another round of fashion playland at the races!
P.S. Mark your calendar for more ways to support Rethink.
