Irene Kim, social media star and Korean-TV personality, can now add to her accolades: global beauty contributor for Estee Lauder.
She joins Kendall Jenner on the Estee Lauder team of “instagirls” who have become beauty giants from their Instagram antics. Which isn’t surprising given her instantly-recognizable (and ever-changing) neon-tresses, porcelain skin, and head-turning outfits.
Irene carries the knickname of “hurricane Irene” that she’s been given in South Korea because of the frenzy she creates with her colourful personality and style. It doesn’t hurt she has a troupe of K-pop friends involved in her adventures.
Raised in Seattle and South Korea, the former Fashion Institute of Technology student turned It girl now stars in not one but two fashion and beauty television shows (in English and Korean): Mnet America’s K-style and South Korea’s Style Live.
She’s easily become one of the most sought-out girls to photograph for street style photographers. However, her street style star cred will have to compete with her appearances on the runway at Soul Fashion week and front row at NY Fashion Week.
