Oversize “it”: Max Mara Spring 2013
In the midst of winter, bundled up in heavy jackets, infinity scarves, and elbow-length gloves, I find myself daydreaming about warmer weather, and Max Mara’s Spring 2013 Collection is the perfect visual escape.
Spring simplicity with over-sized and slightly slouched silhouettes complimented by desert and sky-blue tones, as well as pops of plaid, floral, and safari-inspired patchwork. Max Mara is on the top of my “it” list for Spring Style must-have’s.
Spring 2013 is prime for mixing over-sized tops with pencil skirts for an elongated look. Be versatile with jackets-as-dresses. Or throw on a pair of gaucho-inspired pants with a long safari coat, headscarf, and over-sized sunglasses to hit the streets in style.

This “it” gal is all about cooking and baking. You can find me spending all my evenings trying new recipes and the weekends testing them out with friends while entertaining. In January 2013 it was announced that Gucci Timepieces and Jewelry were coming together with Chinese actress and Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, Li Bingbing, on a new Collection – an eco-friendly limited edition Bamboo watch collection.
Each watch is handmade, as if that isn’t impressive enough; they are using bezel, a lightweight bamboo and have also created a bracelet to complete the collection. The bracelet is made of bamboo and Tagua nut, which is a vegetable ivory as opposed to using animal tusks.
You can purchase this watch online at Gucci, choosing from the three styles available. The collection is beautiful and simple with much attention to detail like the “Responsible Life” script you will find engraved into each piece. I think the silver accents the naturalness of the bamboo perfectly, making this piece a luxury watch must-have to keep wrapped around your pretty little wrist.
