Not So Secret: Shopping Mecca of Deals
I have found the shopping mecca for deals! I am addicted and I don’t use that word lightly to the Crossroads Trading Co. It’s a new-and-recycled fashion retailer.
You could overlook it as a vintage store, but really it’s a stylists’ haven of cast offs. Really a ton of stylists use this for their awesome outcasts. While I’ve been LA it’s been my routine to pop in after breakfast and after doubling my suitcase contents I think almost everything I bought still has the original price tags on it. Many of my scores from silk Whitley Kros dresses to grape wax skinny jeans retailed for over $100 and I didn’t pay more than $30 a piece. Oh and my galpal, Jigme scored a DVF dress for $40. Cute tops for and dresses for $18.50 – - brand new, and totally on trend.
There are over 20 locations in California – 4 in LA alone including the one I visited daily on Santa Monica Blvd. And next time I’m in New York or Seattle I am packing lighter to make room for a Crossroads Trading Co visit. Check out the other locations.

This “it” gal is all about cooking and baking. You can find me spending all my evenings trying new recipes and the weekends testing them out with friends while entertaining. But the one thing I can never stand is the smell of cooking in my hair. I have no time to get a blowout or get ready before guests come; that was until I was introduced to a fabulous new concept.

In January 2013 it was announced that Gucci Timepieces and Jewelry were coming together with Chinese actress and Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, Li Bingbing, on a new Collection – an eco-friendly limited edition Bamboo watch collection.
Each watch is handmade, as if that isn’t impressive enough; they are using bezel, a lightweight bamboo and have also created a bracelet to complete the collection. The bracelet is made of bamboo and Tagua nut, which is a vegetable ivory as opposed to using animal tusks.
You can purchase this watch online at Gucci, choosing from the three styles available. The collection is beautiful and simple with much attention to detail like the “Responsible Life” script you will find engraved into each piece. I think the silver accents the naturalness of the bamboo perfectly, making this piece a luxury watch must-have to keep wrapped around your pretty little wrist.
