Diner en Blanc – Vancouver 2012
Vancouver just experienced the most magical SECRET picnic…ever. During Diner en Blanc 2012 – the Vancouver edition that was the most common word: magical. People were saying they’d not seen that much magic in the city since our Olympics.
I’m proud to say I was a part of the evening - my Mediatonic PR team got to work closely with the Vancouver hosts: Tyson Villeneuve & Jordan Kallman (Social Concierge).
1,200 diners dressed in white, brought in their own table, crystal and dining (nothing disposable) – and either their own picnic or pre-ordered from Top Chef Canada winner, Dale MacKay.
Then all the diners were invited to meet at five different spots around the Vancouver downtown core. They had no idea where the dining spot was even as their group leader walked them in closer to the secret location….
Ta Da! The location this year was the Jack Poole Plaza at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Home of the 2012 Olympic torch.
The pictures say a thousand words…after you’ve stopped saying omg I wish I was there, then signup to be on the waiting list for 2013. Any guesses on next year’s location?

This “it” gal is all about cooking and baking. You can find me spending all my evenings trying new recipes and the weekends testing them out with friends while entertaining. Responsible Life – Gucci “it” Watch

In January 2013 it was announced that Gucci Timepieces and Jewelry were coming together with Chinese actress and Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, Li Bingbing, on a new Collection – an eco-friendly limited edition Bamboo watch collection.
Each watch is handmade, as if that isn’t impressive enough; they are using bezel, a lightweight bamboo and have also created a bracelet to complete the collection. The bracelet is made of bamboo and Tagua nut, which is a vegetable ivory as opposed to using animal tusks.
You can purchase this watch online at Gucci, choosing from the three styles available. The collection is beautiful and simple with much attention to detail like the “Responsible Life” script you will find engraved into each piece. I think the silver accents the naturalness of the bamboo perfectly, making this piece a luxury watch must-have to keep wrapped around your pretty little wrist.
