Wine to Box shelley March 7, 2012 guilty pleasures A juice box for grown-ups?! We like the sounds of that. Recently I attended HouseXGuest’s Big Kid Brunch where the treat was pails of tetra juice boxes – with a little vodka injected in.This got me to thinking – it’s been awhile since I’ve seen much about good box wines or tetra wine paks. The last test drive was French Rabbit and it’s still showing up as a fave in the market.New kid on the block is Black Box Wines’ little minis. Black Box Wines has come out with single-serve juice boxes so you can tote wine to the park without fear of breaking the bottle in the picnic basket. Only problem? You might want more than just one of these bad boys ($5 each). Not a mini size – but still a cool box. Four Wine thought outside the box….more like inside the wine tube. This tube has a 50% reduced carbon footprint, when compared to traditional wine packaging, and its label is printed utilizing wind power. The tube holds three liters of wine and costs about $40.Also check out Epicurious’ round up of some of the best box wines...including Black Box.
