DSC00906We got behind the scenes at Center of Gravity. – and man, this was a huge adventure for us.  When we weren’t sweating or running our butts off working, this was one of the best festivals our entire crew has enjoyed.

This year is Center of Gravity’s most exciting line-up yet with over 16 chart-topping music acts. The three-day concert series saw DiRTY RADiO ramp up the sea of waving wristbands in the air, and closed with A-Trak, who is the first DJ to win five World Championships, and is half of the duo behind the collaboration, Duck Sauce and their hit “Barbra Streisand”. You know this track!

Night two blew away festival-goers with gold album & UK-hit master, Calvin Harris. The finale eve had electro-pop group, Dragonette, dropping synth-beats and their trademark quirky lyrics [fans went nuts when they did their monster track “Hello” – ok we kinda lost our minds too. So fun!! And Martina is just gorgeous – come on check out her funky pants].  Hot off their UK Tour) Chromeo closed the main stage. Since it was P-Thugg’s birthday the duo was in fine form and bounced around the stage rocking it with “Tenderoni”.

It doesn’t hurt to have all the volleyball, basketball, wakeboard and FMX hotties wandering around for three days.  Wow – these athletes showed off their talent. Henry Bekkring is one of the best dunkers Canada has seen, and talk about girl-power with Tammy Thomas & Carol Hamilton on the volley courts. And our good friend Ravi was on the final basketball win and took home $3K in cash.

DSC00976I can attest much of that was spent before they even left sunny Kelowna, BC. Likely at all the after-hours and very likely at the Miami-like day party Playboy Energy Drink hosted.

It was like a roller coaster of days and nights full of sports fanatics and music junkies. So who’s coming with us for 2012?

TIP: The festival sold out 3 weeks in advance – so next year – don’t be a too cool for school and wait last minute!
