February “it” Girl ~ Kelly Wearstler
I have to echo Fab Sugar’s “girl crush” on Kelly Wearstler. Fab Sugar dubbed our gal as a standing out as an eclectic and a risk taker in January’s Vogue.
For me it’s been love since check in – at the ultra, hip Viceroy in Santa Monica. One of my fav hotel stays ever! Beyond being the owner’s wife, Kelly is the creative eye and lifestyle muse for all the Viceroy resorts. Her cabana’s at the Viceroy’s Cameo Bar make it a celeb staple hang out.
While being a judge on Bravo’s Top Design she proved she dares to mix prints, play with color, and experiment with whacky footwear or hairstyles (ala crimped or poodled). Let’s not forget Wearstler is married to a millionaire and co-hosts parties with Vogue. She currently has her own boutique within Bergdorf Goodman in New York and is launching a clothing line.

This “it” gal is all about cooking and baking. You can find me spending all my evenings trying new recipes and the weekends testing them out with friends while entertaining. In January 2013 it was announced that Gucci Timepieces and Jewelry were coming together with Chinese actress and Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, Li Bingbing, on a new Collection – an eco-friendly limited edition Bamboo watch collection.
Each watch is handmade, as if that isn’t impressive enough; they are using bezel, a lightweight bamboo and have also created a bracelet to complete the collection. The bracelet is made of bamboo and Tagua nut, which is a vegetable ivory as opposed to using animal tusks.
You can purchase this watch online at Gucci, choosing from the three styles available. The collection is beautiful and simple with much attention to detail like the “Responsible Life” script you will find engraved into each piece. I think the silver accents the naturalness of the bamboo perfectly, making this piece a luxury watch must-have to keep wrapped around your pretty little wrist.
