I had no idea where it’d percolated to until a recent wedding weekend spent away with some of the gals. Adorable, girly white eyelet dresses where everywhere. Thank god my friends know how to accessorize to make themselves stand apart.
My contribution was a cream colored eyelet sundress, which worked from gift opening day festivities to a mini-golf date with the hubbie. Didn’t help my putting, but I looked cute.

I’m reading a book that is too good to wait until I’m done, to share with you. But I have it on very good accord that it ends well. I have already given away four copies, and keep on having to replace mine to finish reading.
Eat Pray Love - Elizabeth Gilbert this book is, well, think Sex and the City, but with a spiritual twist. Insert dynamic writer for GQ, who at 31 realizes that she shouldn’t be married and isn’t ready for the baby plan in front of her. She leaves it all, and goes on a search for everything. To Italy to "eat," India to "pray," and then to Bali "to fall in love."
Maybe it’s my love of both Italy and Indonesia (especially with my pending trip to Bali in a few weeks) that have me biased. But damn this is a good read. One minute she pings me with laughter, the next stuns me and makes me ask "how’d she get into my head and capture my experiences and thoughts - but better than I could have?!"
Her self-deprecating humor make this an original travel and life journal: recalling the first time she attempted to speak directly to God, she says, "It was all I could do to stop myself from saying, ‘I’ve always been a big fan of your work." I’m now a fan of Gilbert’s work too.

It’s utterly luxurious in appearance but not too insane in price - and that is such a rarity in the fashion world. I adore everything about it: the rich brown hue, the grommet details, the turnlock closure and the size. And unlike so many logo-encrusted bags, it’s understated, and it doesn’t scream "Coach."
Love grey. Grey walls. Grey clothes. Grey cars. No melancholy tendencies here, I just find it plain comforting, and classy. And paired with summer white jeans they are a solid trend.

Crappy weather delayed me from sharing an overdue find. ‘A shame since I’m now using Fekkai beyond the beach!
My ongoing summer hair battle, until Fekkai gave me two solutions… Summer means a season of my deflated locks - these pathetic kinda, almost, not quite waves. Bless fine hair. If I style it flat then I get frizz, and there’s NO way I can get the thick body and waves that seem to only exist in the tropics.
Trying Fekkai Beach Waves on dry hair really did produce the promised ‘touseled, windswept beach waves’. Style me sexy! I’ve swapped Fekkai tales with some of the gals and they echo - don’t waste your money on other wave products. This is not only the star of this summer hair line, but out waves all others too.

Ever since Drew Barrymore literally went elbows deep in gold (bangles that is), bangles have again become a must have accessory.
Bangles, that word makes me laugh if you say it a few times in a row.

When it comes to cocktails - Pears are "the next big flavor." They’re a fresh, sexy sip.
Any fashionista knows the lure of a good Cosmo or Chambard is that it’s well balanced. Not too strong in liquor and not too strong in sweet or sour.
Grey Goose La Poire is the the pear vodka preference - because it’s a natural pear flavor and damn fine vodka. Absolut Pears is a nice option, but they seem to think pear is a stronger candy treat.
But I warn you - - they go down a bit too easy. So if you’re now sold the pear is the new pomegranate try these recipes:

- 1 part fresh-squeezed lemon juice

Omiru’s take: While the loose, carefree feel of bohemian fashion seems like a fine idea to us in theory, in practice, this perennial warm weather trend just doesn’t look as good as it should. Style tip? If you love bohemian fashion, wear it in moderation. Pair your hippie-chic tunic with a structured pair of pants. Or wear your flowy dress with a sophisticated handbag and shoes. Oh, and buy it on the cheap–this is a fleeting trend, at best.
A serious sweet spot for Aussie design - and Lover is no exception. Designer duo Susien Chong and Nic Briand started out in 2001 with the idea that while they have contrasting tastes - she for the romantic and ethereal and he for the loud and irreverent - together they could combine to make something Fab!
And Fab it is - Lover has adorable little dresses, a knack for high-waisted denim, and lots and lots of plaid. And with a catchy brand name like Lover it’s even harder to resist!
Shoshana first came on the scene as Jerry Seinfeld’s bodacious girlfriend, then made many girl’s life prettier with fun handbag. Now for a few years she’s broadened into a full women’s collection, but I always found her design’s pretty ‘mwah.’ Translate that to a "whatever’ kind of grunt.

I’m not sure about the Marc Jacobs jelly gladiator (I think Shoewawa summarizes my perplexity) or the thigh high versions, but for Giueseppe Zanotti is hands down the man that knows this trend.
