It’s not new, news that Kate Moss has been designing Topshop (London’s version of Forever 21).
But what’s new is finally seeing some of Kate’s fashions in action on real people, and even better on celebs like Selma Blair. This cheap and chic, sequin dress is the right way to do shine. And in a trendy tunic too.
Overall the collection has been a bit underwhelming. But Selma keeps popping up in it and making me think a bit different. I’m look forward to a few more Topshop citings before I decide yah, or nah.
I can’t believe I’m about to defend: Paula Abdul. But yesterday I tripped over my 25 pound dog (meet Theo - our Basenji).
While the gossip pages are all over her chipped broken nose and speculating that she must have been drunk when she tripped over her dog - well, I was sober and in my bathrobe when I emulated her gymnastic maneuvers sprained both my wrist and ankle, and today realized what I thought was a sprain finger is actually fractured!
So while I type here with nine fingers and a silver (useless and ugly) splint to challenge this fashionista with her blogging - I lift my head from shame just long enough to "straight up" tell you Paula just might not be hiding a nose job.
Are black, blue and purple in this season? Well if I‘m slow to respond to u over the next few days u’ll know why. And u’ll have to excuse a few typos for the next few days. Sigh.

Have you been checking out that hair pile up on your brush and shower drain? Hair loss in women is a growing (ha!) concern. Seriously, over 30 million women in the USA and mostly in their 20’s and 30’s.
Color, bleach, genes, diet…stress. It’s all part of the problem. What helps? Forget the hair color of the month, lay off hot tools or use ion products, and invest in something like Fekkai Advanced Haircare: MORE.
Frederic Fekkai is probably the most elite hair stylist - one of the hottest names in the hair biz— and his namesake salons are a roster of A-list clients. He doesn’t follow trends and he’s known for breakthrough products - like help for thinning hair.
MORE has 4-steps. The lather on the Fekkai Shampoo is amazing - thick, silky & decadent, like in a ritzy salon. Wow. Conditioner is good for every day, but I still has to add a bit of my reg deep conditioner on the ends. Nighttime Follicle-boosting actually has caffeine to boost follicle growth. And the Density Styling Whip has renewed my faith in mousse. I forgot mousse was more than a funny name, instant plumping!
I’m starting to collect my swim suit favs. Coming soon! But in the meantime due to my pasty paleness I thought it best for the general public if I first start shopping for cover ups.
I tried on this Nautica hoody dress - and loved the two way zip (trick: this type of zipper gives you shape). The white is so sporty, so Nautica.
Another option I’m eyeing is this beach cover up from ViX Swimwear Collection. Aahhh, I’m already picturing myself wasting away a few afternoon this August at Bali’s Ku De Ta. No sunburn for this chick.
By the way, Nautica’s website is one of the worst (a.k.a. frustrating to find anything) fashion sites I’ve visited. Avoid it. Blah.

Scarlett Johansson is back as the face of Louis Vuitton in the company’s Fall/Winter ‘07 ad campaign. I am happy to see that she actually looks like herself this time!
I’m also glad that the LV goods she’s modeling are actually something I would consider buying, unlike those lace-infested Dentelle Speedy bags.

You said: Shorts are In–a 81% majority voted this legwear trend In.
Omiru’s take: Looks like there’s room in your closet for both skirts and shorts. Even though skirts and dresses are in vogue this season, you haven’t given up on this old summer standby. Style tip? If you have short legs, look for narrow-leg shorts that hit at about knee length (like the ones pictured) for maximum figure flattery.

Although removing hair from your body (or your face, in the case of you guys…or girls who shave your faces. what? anyway.) is not a glamorous task–actually far from it. It’s tedious, boring, mundane…but it must be done. Agreed?
Well, I’m happy to say that I recently found a fabulous shaving cream (well, not actually a shaving cream–read on) that makes this tedious task, well, kinda fun.
I’ve tried a few lip plumpers and was always left feeling like I’d literally been bee stung or some other bad burning sensation…until now.
Pout Plump by Pout is addicting with it’s intense(!!!) mint infusion. I don’t know if it actually pouts or if the tingling just makes me inclined to want to dish out a cute pout.
Okay, so maybe Pout doesn’t instantly make me Angelina Jolie, but "pretty pout" it does for sure. If you don’t see instant inflation it also contains Maxi-Lip to hydrate lips; increases collagen and with repeated use is supposed to plump fullness up to 40%.
I tried the clear, but I’m set on the bubblegum, which doesn’t go on near as bright as it looks in the tube. This pink even looked good on my red head gal, Emmalou.
Want just a mini-pout? Then there’s the Pout Plump on Key Ring version. And if you want to o a little lip plumper comparison Beauty News has a nice review of the big pouters.
It’s also avail at Holt Renfrew, Henri Bendel and Victoria’s Secret.
I pay attention to buzz words that you don’t need a chemist degree to pronounce. So when I kept on hearing paprika I noticed.
Awhile back Elle did this little write up on an underground find from Budapest import ilike Organic Skin Care, and how it heals breakouts with pepper extract. Capsaicin isn’t just for bear spray - it now also scares off zits!
Over one weekend I became a believer. I’ve tried ‘em all…Proactiv to Origins Spot Remover, and more. As an adult I probably struggle more with breakouts than I ever did. I thought we were supposed to grow out of this stuff? ilike’s Paprika Treatment for Acne is the first blemish help that has made me sigh.
It’s amazing how it releases clogged pores (especially those nasty ones that just hurt) and alleviates swelling. Don’t be scared by the $40 price tag…this hot, Hungarian cherry-pepper power is worth every penny.

Glamour Magazine touts this dress as "the best bridesmaid dreass for every shape and size." But recommends to stay away from the pastels to make it work for everyone. This little number in a banded empire waist and slight A-line skirt is something that would actually be worn again.
The not too deep v works for big or tiny busts, nothing poufy about this to make it curvy with out over the top, the skirt length will work with any height of shoe heel; and for pear shaped gals the empire cut keeps attention above and A-line balances. Something to compliment everyone.
Glamour shared simpledress.com as the source for their find, but also worth checking out is lynnlugobridal.com.
Another idea, what I did, was just gave each gal a few yards of the same fabric and said go to town with these simple guidelines: No mini skirts, and don’t have better cleavage than me (the bride).
Handbag designer Joy Gryson, founder of the Gryson handbags known for their braided handles, is branching out from her purse cocoon. This Fall, look out for a shoe collection from the Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs alumnae. Her Mary Janes will be available by the end of summer at Plaza Too so keep an eye (and foot) out!
Stars are simply eating up the black and white stripe trend. While I prefer my stripes to be a little more subtle, everyone from Nelly Furtado to Lindsay Lohan and Gwen Stefani are strutting their stuff, referee style.
Out of all three of these ensembles, I think that I love Nelly Furtado’s geometrical tube dress the best.

Is it ok to wear sheer black pantyhose with an above-the-knee black cocktail dress? Rule of thumb? The dressier the occasion, the more necessary it is to wear pantyhose. Pictured: Diana Striped Organza Halter Dress | $298 at J Crew.
That’s right folks, even musician Prince is releasing a new fragrance. The scent, which is called 3121 after Prince’s March 2006 album of the same name, will be launched at select Macy’s locations.
The introduction will have a theme of all seven; will go on sale at midnight on July 7, the fragrance will be launched at 3121perfume.com and 7% of online sales that day will be divided between seven charities.

I have this nasty guilty pleasure. It’s for cheesy girl music. I think the princess of my vice is
Ashlee Simpson.
Okay she’s a bit insecure and hypocritical about "being me" and then running off to grab a nose job to compete with sis Jessica. She even survived being busted for lip synching on SNL.
Which was just stupid because the girl can sing. Her album, I Am Me is her best, but I still love to rock out to La La off of Autobiography.
And now Ashlee is growing up and finding a chic new image (but we know the punk pop roots are still there). Her appearance in Harper’s Bazaar (May 2007) and US Magazine voting her the Swan, are both telling signs this late bloomer will continue to blow us away with her transformation. Go Ashlee Go (but don’t go too glam, and loose all that spunky edge).
And just for the record - personally I like the old nose better. But either way she’s an "it."

Okay - this is a hard one for me to share with you. Every girl likes to hang onto that unique, not quite discovered by the masses, signature smell. Well I found one that I’m loving, and it’s just too good not to share. Shelley Kyle has four perfumes, but the one I’m suddenly addicted to is: Tiramani.
The clean, unconventional aroma is blood orange, madonna lily, white nectarine, cashmere musk, and night blooming jasmine. "A floral bouquet of wild jasmine enhanced by fresh citrus and cut grass on a background of musk." It’s so good I also had to nab the Bon Bon Candle too. I want this smell everywhere!
Just to give you a hint on celeb following. When Christina Aguilera did her nuptial vows guests were given Tiramani sachets in welcome baskets.
Can find at In The Bathroom and a bunch of online sources. And so far the only store carrying it in Canada is Vancouver’s Miss Coquette. Which was low on supply, and reordering soon.
Orange you glad I shared? Argh.
Satin is one of the hip fabrics this season - anything with shine, right?!
But I think it’s too much in this resurrected trend of an urban turban - let alone satin turban. Channeling old Hollywood ala Gabor and Dietrich just isn’t happening for me.
I’ve been spotting the turban for a bit now, and I’m really surprised the trend’s got some life to it. I don’t know what to make of this, except to say "not for me." Maybe it’s like a pixy cut, you have to be drop dead gorgeous to pull off?
Check out Ashley Olsen in her turban head band, which is a bit more doable (is that a word).

We mentioned a while back that singer Lily Allen was starting her own clothing line like many other recent celebs. Well, that day has come! Lily Loves hit New Look’s Oxford Street location in London. Though the lines weren’t as long as they were for Kate Moss’ Topshop collection, Lily still managed to please some London fashionistas with her collection of six dresses, footwear and accessories.
And don’t miss First Pic of Sienna Miller’s Clothing Line!
It’s no secret that most celebs have to work long and hard for their killer bods, and the fruits of their labor is on full display every summer
It’s officially bathing suit season and as usual, everything goes from nautical stripes to colorful combinations and of course, the classic black bikini. Read more.

Jo Malone has some beautiful gifts that are sure to please any Mother. I wish I was a Mother so that someone would give these as a gift to me!
I found some laid back, old school surf tees for when that mood strikes. The Ryde is an art driven clothing line from a surf loving duo in Laguna Beach.
When competiton was mired in logo based designs, The Ryde set out to create a brand built around engaging, artistic, one color line art designs.
One of the designers has worked on art for Elton John and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. So you can’t be surprised at blunt little creations like "Have a Nice Bidet" or the "Don’t Drink and Dial" mantra that any Cosmopolitan totting gal needs to remember.
The white is a little see-thru, for my liking of a white tee. So stick to the solid colors.
