Trend “it” Alert: New Romantic

This season’s romantic trend is high on drama. If drama’s not your thing there are still lots of ways to work this trend into your wardrobe.
Life & Style Weekly shows how to do it with ruffles. Just make sure they’re not placed on any of your hot spots (e.g. if you’ve got big hips, don’t wear a ruffle up high ~ grey skirt below is a ‘no’ for you.

It has become so difficult for me–a woman of a certain age–to remain chic and trendy without looking ridiculous. Although I love the ruffled look and some of the other tredns for spring 2007, if I get too “ruffled up” I look like I’m from the Elizabethan Era instead of the 21st Century.
HOWEVER…I recently interviewed a professional fashion consultant for my own blog–and she gave me some sage advice on how to still wear trends (without looking ridiculous).
