Why haven’t I play by play’d the recent NY Fashion Week? So many blogs were rehashing the same thing about Spring fashion, and if you want the epitome of photo coverage go to the style.com bible.
But mainly because when I look out my window to the sea of fall leaves exploding into gold colors as I snuggle in my new fall sweater with a cup ‘o chai. Why would I want to write or even think about spring?
And as a reader you can’t rush out to stores to get any of it? So doesn’t it just seem plain mean to tease you about something you can’t have for six more months? Yellow Bright, lite yellows! Come spring the best way to add spirit to black (rampant right now) is to splash it up with accent pieces of yellow. Here’s your fashion forumla - come spring switch all your red pieces to yellow. Easy.
Metallics This trend is on a roll crossing over the last few seasons. Still in stride!
Trenches A shorter cut than the standard; to show off you’re your gams.
Short Short, shorts and minis ala 80’s resurge.
White Dresses The crisp look of fall white shirts transcends into long frocks.
Volume Fall/Winters big word won’t go away. You’ll still be seeing purses with enough volume to hold both Olsen Twins.
Flats Chunky heals are still abound, but flats go with short, short.
More 80’s See shorts, but also geometric prints!
